Teen Talk, produced by KCEP, is a Radio Talk Show designed to give a voice to teens since 2015.  Teen Talk on KCEP is co-produced by teens, focusing on the issues that teens face today, as well as their contributions, opinions and achievements. Topics are drawn from top news stories, teen surveys and the teen producers of the show. Teen Talk on KCEP features entertainment pieces, expert advisors, teen celebrity interviews and more. The show's target audience is 13-19 year olds with an expected adult audience who are curious and want to gain insight of teen realities.

Hello Potential Teen Talker!


We are excited that you have reached out to be a part of the Teen Talk Team. Teen Talk is a weekly show that your presence is required every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. via ZOOM video call and your participation is also needed throughout the week (Thursdays 6pm to 8pm) to help produce shows through emails via Google Docs.  You will also be expected to communicate via GroupMe app, Zoom video calls and cell phone.  Teen Talk is a non profit Radio Communications  and Leadership Program. 


This is a volunteer position, there is no pay, but there are opportunities for scholarships and mentorships.  Expect to learn how to communicate effectively, speak in front of crowds, work with a team, writing, promotions, podcasting and other broadcasting and professional skills.  


In order to be considered, you must be a high school student .  Please see the list below for the documents that need to be completed in order to be considered for an audition spot:


  1. a completed Application

  2. a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from your Parent/Guardian 

  3. a Media Release Form  completed by your Parent/Guardian

  4. a Parent Consent Form  completed by your Parent/Guardian

Once all four items have been received your  application is complete.   If we do not receive all four items we will not be able to consider you for an audition.  Make sure to double check that all your contact information is accurate.  This is our only way to notify you.  


Auditions take place Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.  We are always accepting new teens.  Complete the application and we will contact you for an audition date.
